Architect and Civil Engineer are two distinct formations, which share similar scopes and which, therefore, have lots of intersections, preserving fundamental differences.
Basically, an Architect is a person who plans, designs and oversees the construction of a building covering both the Aesthetics and Technical aspects related to it. Civil Engineers on the other hand manage the design-to-completion stages for all projects. Civil Engineers oversee all phases of construction work while Architects are more deeply involved in the pre-construction phases. Therefore, Architects and Civil Engineers are the two primary planners of a project and both professions are crucial to the design and delivery of any Construction project.
